Salary: USD 129,000 - 171,000 / annual

Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Manufacturing Equipment Engineer to join its Manufacturing Engineering department in Costa Mesa. The role focuses on supporting continuous operations and enabling world-class manufacturing of cutting-edge defense products. You will drive Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) by continuously enhancing critical systems including PLC/HMI logic, robotics, mechanical/electrical subsystems, and conveyance infrastructure. Key responsibilities include analyzing and optimizing production equipment to maximize OEE while ensuring safety and quality; championing continuous improvement projects to maximize yield, cycle time, and equipment availability; collaborating with process engineering and maintenance teams to resolve equipment issues and improve reliability; supporting operations in ramping newly launched products to full-scale production; developing SCADA systems to monitor and process real-time production data; performing root cause analysis for equipment failures and implementing corrective/preventive actions; and working cross-functionally with design engineering, quality, and production teams. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related technical field; 5+ years of manufacturing environment experience focused on equipment engineering, automation, or reliability; demonstrated expertise in PLC programming and troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley, Siemens); strong understanding of robotics, motion control systems, and mechanical/electrical subsystems; proven ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma) with measurable OEE gains; strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; and eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance. Preferred qualifications include experience with vision systems for automated inspection, CAD software proficiency (SolidWorks, AutoCAD), Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt), prior defense/aerospace/med-tech industry experience, and current active U.S. Secret security clearance.
