Arista Networks is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to drive product quality, process optimization, and yield improvements within contract manufacturing operations. You will work alongside a team of industry pioneers and world-class engineers redefining modern networking for data centers, AI infrastructure, and cloud environments.
In this role, you will engage cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Engineering, Platform Design, and CM Partners to deliver high-performance networking solutions. Your responsibilities will include:
• Lead SMT process development and improvement initiatives with contract manufacturers
• Manage and drive quality metrics, yield improvements, and reduction of scrap/bone pile rates
• Lead line stops, purges, and quality issue resolution
• Drive product failure debug activities to minimize scrap and identify root causes
• Assess manufacturing personnel technical capability and provide hardware debug mentorship to CM test engineers and technicians
• Ensure production sites receive required product training and enhance manufacturing operations test processes
• Address Return Rate (RMA) and customer complaints through systematic investigation
• Participate in and lead Defect Reduction Team (DRT) activities to identify and resolve product issues
• Manage test infrastructure requirements and ensure factory capacity capability
• Support factory readiness for new product launches
• Identify and drive process improvements, cycle time reduction, and lean activities
• Develop process documentation and best practices
• Investigate and evaluate new test technologies to establish technical direction
• Work with Engineering and CM partners on Change Orders and Agile implementation
• Maintain conformance to established manufacturing test processes and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS:
• 10+ years of experience in contract manufacturing environment, preferably high-mix, low-volume PCBA and box build
• BS or MS degree required
• Strong leadership capability with experience managing, recruiting, developing, and coaching employees
• Proven track record driving business efficiency and improvements
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Vietnamese
• Results-oriented with sound business judgment
• Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills
• Experience in production process metrics, yield management, and product quality
• Expertise in test capacity management and cycle time improvements
• Expert knowledge of ECO, BOM, and Deviation processes (Agile experience a plus)
• Solid working knowledge of DFx (DFM, DFA, DFT, DFQ, DFR)
• Demonstrated ability to establish technical direction through investigation and evaluation of new test technologies
• Expertise in networking products related to routing, switching, and data center
• Excellent computer skills with emphasis on Excel and project reporting
• Excellent working knowledge of complex system-level debugging and root cause analysis
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing, test, quality, and reliability best practices
