Salary: USD 129,000 - 171,000 / annual

Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop and optimize manufacturing processes for advanced turbine engines and precision components used in cutting-edge defense systems. The role requires hands-on technical expertise in turbomachinery manufacturing with a track record of solving complex manufacturing challenges in resource-constrained, fast-paced environments. Key responsibilities include designing and implementing robust manufacturing processes from concept to production; specifying, designing, and procuring tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing equipment; collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability using design-for-manufacturability (DFx) principles; and optimizing existing processes for efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. You will develop and maintain manufacturing documentation including work instructions, process flow diagrams, and quality control plans; conduct root cause analysis for defects and non-conformances; and implement corrective and preventive actions. Additional duties include evaluating and implementing new manufacturing technologies and methodologies; ensuring compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and environmental requirements; managing projects related to turbomachinery manufacturing improvements and capacity expansion; and providing technical support and training to production teams. Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred); 5+ years of progressive experience in turbomachinery component manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or high-performance industrial gas turbine industries; proficiency with CAD/CAM software (NX or similar); familiarity with CNC machining and additive manufacturing; strong problem-solving and communication skills; and U.S. Person status for access to export-controlled information. Preferred qualifications include experience integrating automation, robotics, or advanced metrology systems (CMM, optical scanning); end-to-end equipment development and implementation; and designing and fabricating tooling such as mandrels and fixture jigs.
