Salary: USD 100,000 - 160,000 / annual
Commonwealth Fusion Systems is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team in Somerville, MA. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve productivity, efficiency, and quality across production lines. You will work closely with design engineers, production staff, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to drive continuous improvement in fusion energy power plant manufacturing.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing manufacturing processes and workflows
- Optimizing production line efficiency and output
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including design, production, QA, and supply chain
- Identifying and solving manufacturing challenges
- Improving product quality and reducing defects
- Supporting the scaling of commercially viable fusion power plant production
The position is based in Somerville, MA with a third-shift schedule (Monday-Friday, 2:00 PM - 11:00 PM).
