Hadrian is building autonomous factories to reindustrialize America by combining AI, advanced software, robotics, and full-stack manufacturing to help aerospace and defense companies build rockets, satellites, aircraft, ships, and mission-critical systems up to 10x faster and at significantly lower cost. The company recently closed a $1.37B Series D at a $7.87B valuation and is rapidly expanding its manufacturing footprint with new capabilities in welding, casting, forging, electronics, and additive manufacturing.
As a Manufacturing Engineer in Factory Development, you will play a critical role in advancing manufacturing capabilities through strategic project management, system building, and innovative problem-solving. You will identify and tackle high-priority operational and technical challenges, deploy systematic solutions, and drive the introduction of new processes and assets to support rapid production scaling.
Key responsibilities include: taking ownership of critical projects from inception to completion by diving into complex operational or technical challenges and deploying effective solutions; performing detailed root cause analysis to understand underlying issues and implement sustainable solutions rather than temporary fixes; identifying areas within the factory requiring systematic improvements and leading development of pragmatic solutions that inform longer-term technological advancements; and leading the redesign of existing processes and introduction of new processes and assets to increase production rates and introduce previously unavailable capabilities.
You should have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant STEM field (or 5+ years of leadership experience in high-intensity production environments), 2-3 years of manufacturing experience with a strong preference for those who have led meaningful projects, proven experience developing and implementing production processes/systems in high-growth environments, and demonstrated proficiency in solving deep technical or operations problems. Experience with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies and software approaches (SQL, VBA, Python) is a plus. Occasional travel up to 35% is required. ITAR compliance required: must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident.
