Hadrian is building autonomous factories to reindustrialize America by combining AI, advanced software, robotics, and full-stack manufacturing to help aerospace and defense companies build rockets, satellites, aircraft, ships, and mission-critical systems up to 10x faster at significantly lower cost. The company recently raised $1.37B in Series D funding at a $7.87B valuation and is rapidly expanding manufacturing capabilities across welding, casting, forging, electronics, and additive manufacturing.
As a Manufacturing Engineer in Factory Development, you will take ownership of critical projects from inception to completion, diving into complex operational and technical challenges to deploy effective solutions. Your responsibilities include conducting thorough root cause analysis to understand underlying issues and implementing real, sustainable solutions rather than temporary fixes. You will play a pivotal role in identifying areas within the factory requiring systematic improvements and lead the development of pragmatic solutions that address current operational inefficiencies while laying groundwork for future software development.
You will lead the redesign of existing processes and introduction of new processes and assets to significantly increase production rates and introduce previously unavailable capabilities. This role demands a combination of technical expertise, project management acumen, and commitment to uncovering pragmatic solutions that address root problems.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant STEM field (or 5+ years of leadership experience in high-intensity production environments), 2-3 years of manufacturing experience with preference for those who have led meaningful projects, and proven track record of project execution in manufacturing settings. You must demonstrate proficiency in solving deep technical or operations problems and developing/implementing production processes in high-growth environments. Occasional travel up to 35% is required.
Experience with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies and software approaches (SQL, VBA, Python) are strong differentiators. ITAR compliance required: must be U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or eligible to obtain required authorizations from U.S. Department of State.
