Salary: USD 129,000 - 171,000 / annual
Anduril Industries is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join the Drones team and bridge the gap between advanced design and high-volume production of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) including Bolt, Ghost, Anvil, and future autonomous platforms.
You will support the transition of products from concept through prototype, pilot, and full production phases, ensuring speed, flexibility, scalability, and first-time quality. Key responsibilities include providing daily sustaining support to ensure product performance, real-time problem-solving for mechanical fitment, electrical/harnessing, and software/firmware issues, and collaborating with design engineers to drive design-for-manufacturing best practices.
You will own critical manufacturing documentation including MBOMs, work instructions, process flows, floor plans, time studies, and capacity analyses. Working closely with manufacturing planning teams and the broader production team, you'll define capacity planning actions to meet customer needs and solve complex production issues. You will analyze metrics for continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction, quality improvement, and capacity increases.
The role requires travel to suppliers and partner sites for initial sourcing, ongoing problem-solving, and process implementation. You'll help instill a culture of innovation, teamwork, and accountability within the manufacturing engineering team.
Required: Bachelor's degree in engineering, math, or hard science; 5+ years in manufacturing or similar role; demonstrated ability to deliver hardware in resource-constrained environments; hands-on experience with hardware manufacturing (machining, fabrication, soldering, assembly); eligibility for U.S. Secret security clearance.
Preferred: Experience building production operations from scratch; harness/PCBA fabrication or electromechanical design expertise; ownership of complex BOMs; knowledge of sheet metal, machining, 3D printing; NX/Teamcenter experience.
