Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join the Connected Warfare team at Arsenal-1, a hyperscale manufacturing facility in Ashville, Ohio. This role is central to industrializing critical autonomous systems and command-and-control products for U.S. and allied military forces.
You will own the entire manufacturing value chain, from current production rates through high-volume deployment. Responsibilities include driving Design for Manufacturability (DFM) feedback into product design, innovating tool design and selection, creating and optimizing high-rate production lines, fostering strategic vendor partnerships, embedding quality assurance, and documenting build processes.
Key duties span: executing manufacturing from prototyping through full-scale production; collaborating with design engineers on DFM best practices; acting as manufacturing liaison for mechanical fabrication and avionics; owning documentation (MBOMs, work instructions, process flows); advising on quality management programs; defining capacity planning to meet customer needs; analyzing metrics for continuous improvement (cost reduction, quality improvement, capacity increase); instilling a culture of innovation and accountability; developing production and test methodologies; and traveling to suppliers and partner sites for sourcing, problem-solving, and process implementation.
New hires will spend the first three months in a hybrid arrangement: temporary assignments to Costa Mesa, CA (1-2 weeks at a time) to train under Anduril's world-class manufacturing team, with housing and transportation provided. After the initial training period, the role is based in Ashville, OH.
Required: degree in a technical field (engineering, math, hard science preferred); 1-5 years of experience in manufacturing or design of electromechanical hardware; demonstrated ability to deliver electromechanical hardware in resource-constrained environments; commitment to world-class mission assurance, quality, and attention to detail; genuine interest in manufacturing and continuous learning.
