Re:Build Manufacturing, through its Composite Resources division, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to lead continuous improvement initiatives in composite component production. This role bridges technical and operational functions across Project Planning, Project Engineering, Quality, and external partners to resolve production issues and drive operational excellence.
Key responsibilities include owning hardware from concept through production, leading design reviews and analysis, managing vendor relationships, defining and executing hardware test plans, building and analyzing prototypes, and transitioning successful projects into serial production. You will identify waste sources, implement defect-minimization strategies, support customer hardware demonstrations, and travel to installation sites as needed.
The role emphasizes considerable autonomy and variety, with focus on safety, quality, cost, manufacturability, delivery, and customer value. You will apply first-principles physics and leverage prior examples to solve problems, while integrating new products into production with strict cost control and quality assurance.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience, 3–5 years of engineering experience, and demonstrated passion for composite manufacturing processes. You must be proficient in SolidWorks, PDM systems, and Microsoft Office; competent in reading and creating technical drawings with GD&T application; and knowledgeable in continuous improvement methodologies. Strong relationship-building skills, self-motivation, and personal workload management are essential.
