Salary: USD 57,000 - 112,000 / annual

Anduril Industries, a defense technology company transforming military capabilities through advanced technology, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join the AeroStructures branch in North Carolina. The Manufacturing team is responsible for rapidly iterating and building cutting-edge aerostructure assemblies, from piece part manufacturing through final assembly. In this role, you will support the full manufacturing value chain, including MBOM management, work instruction creation, design for manufacturability analysis, work cell optimization, tool design and selection, process creation and optimization, vendor sourcing, quality planning, and manufacturing documentation for composite and metallic structures. Key responsibilities include: - Working hands-on with technicians and engineers to build composite parts and tooling in conjunction with design engineering releases - Writing and executing manufacturing documentation including work instructions, MBOMs, quality plans, and inspection requirements - Serving as a bridge between engineering technical data packages and production technicians to ensure hardware and tooling are manufactured to specification - Solving manufacturing problems in schedule-driven environments while maintaining detailed specifications and quality requirements - Designing and optimizing work cells to maintain quality and efficiency targets - Collaborating with Program Managers on critical decision points to ensure on-time delivery - Leading root cause corrective actions (RCCAs) with the quality team to eliminate production blockers Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in engineering or technology, 2+ years of relevant manufacturing or composite design experience, ability to read engineering drawings including GD&T, proficiency in CAD/CAM software (NX preferred), MS Office and project management software skills, demonstrated team leadership capabilities, and U.S. Person status for access to export-controlled data. Preferred experience includes aerospace, defense, automotive, or energetics facility support; AS9100/NADCAP accredited manufacturing facility experience; TeamCenter proficiency; composite and metallic airframe assembly knowledge; and understanding of CNC machining operations.
