Relativity Space is building rockets to serve today's needs and tomorrow's breakthroughs. The Terran R vehicle will deliver customer payloads to orbit, meeting growing demand for launch capacity. The company is at a unique inflection point—early enough to shape the product and culture, but far enough along that Terran R is tangible and gaining momentum. The Stage Fluids team designs and delivers propellant, pressurant, pneumatics, and other fluid systems that turn structures into functioning rockets. The team maintains full ownership across design, production, test, and flight, with a holistic view of Terran R focused on integrated functionality rather than isolated parts. Working on-site at the factory keeps you close to hardware, enabling rapid iteration and tight feedback loops between design and manufacturing. As Manager of Vehicle Fluids Product, you will lead the team responsible for fluid system architecture and function across the vehicle. You'll apply deep expertise in system architecture, complex systems operations, and fluid thermodynamics to guide hardware design, system analysis, manufacturing, validation, and operations. Key responsibilities include: managing a high-performing fluids product team while aligning execution against program milestones; defining, scoping, and scheduling stage-level fluid architecture, requirements, and documentation at appropriate maturity for integrated testing and flight readiness; leading cross-functional interface definitions and negotiations with partner vehicle teams (Propulsion/Engine, Structures, GNC, Avionics) to ensure seamless system integration; setting clear team goals and driving accountability; assisting with sizing and fluid thermofluids analysis at system and component levels; defining development, qualification, and acceptance testing scopes to reduce technical risk prior to vehicle-level integrated testing; and participating in concept of operations development and operational data review to own the successful operational philosophy and testing execution of fluid systems at the integrated vehicle level. You'll be expected to ask the right questions, collaborate across the company, and find the best solutions for Terran R. This is a role where autonomy, ownership, and impact exist at every level.
