Aviso, a leading Canadian wealth management organization, is seeking a Manager of Technology Application Support to lead and manage a team of IT professionals providing technical support and maintenance for business applications.
Reporting to the Director of Technology Support Services, you will oversee a team responsible for ensuring the availability, reliability, and stability of application systems while maintaining high customer satisfaction and meeting service level agreements (SLAs).
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and managing a team of IT professionals focused on application support, maintenance, and monitoring
- Developing and implementing strategies for effective application, system, and data utilization to support business objectives
- Ensuring timely and effective resolution of application support requests with proper documentation
- Collaborating with application development teams on system design and implementation to ensure supportability and alignment with business requirements
- Establishing policies, procedures, and best practices for application support and maintenance
- Evaluating and selecting new applications and technology solutions, assisting with implementation
- Managing relationships with third-party vendors and service providers
- Developing and managing departmental budgets in collaboration with IT leadership
- Establishing and maintaining KPIs and SLAs to measure service effectiveness
- Mentoring and developing team members to build necessary skills and knowledge
- Building and maintaining client relationships to understand business needs and ensure service delivery expectations are met
- Hiring, training, and developing team members
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in IT application support or related field
- 3+ years of experience managing and leading IT professional teams
- Knowledge of ITIL and service management best practices
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Fluent English communication; French bilingual skills are an asset
