FutureFit AI is seeking a Manager, Strategy & Operations to join the leadership team, reporting to the VP of Strategy and Operations. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role in a 30-50 person company focused on workforce development and economic opportunity through AI-powered technology. You will serve as the operating backbone of the leadership team, responsible for running the company's operating rhythm, maintaining shared trusted metrics, and owning contract and risk operations that enable fast execution. This role blends business judgment with disciplined execution and offers wide latitude to build the company's operating system. Key responsibilities (approximately): Management Cadence & Enablement (30%): Run the operating rhythm of the management and executive teams, including agendas, pre-reads, decision logs, and follow-through. Produce board and investor meetings, assembling decks and packages from finance-owned numbers. Partner with People to plan company onsites and team gatherings. Measurement, Tools & Risk (25%): Maintain company metrics and OKR tracking to ensure performance conversations start from shared numbers. Manage tools inventory and licensing, maintain a risk register and compliance calendar. Legal & Contract Operations (30%): Take first pass on NDAs and standard agreements against a playbook, routing non-standard items to outside counsel with clear briefs. Maintain contract repository and obligations tracker covering renewals, notice periods, and government reporting. Run vendor onboarding and corporate records including cap table hygiene in Carta. Strategic Projects (15%): Own scoped projects for leadership—dig into issues surfaced by metrics, frame options and tradeoffs, recommend paths to decisions. Success in the first 6-12 months means: weekly management meetings run smoothly with clear agendas and follow-through; OKRs and metrics are tracked on steady rhythm with proactive flagging; NDA intake is owned with nothing untracked; at least one strategic project moves from framing to decision; leaders across functions see you as the person who keeps things moving. You are a roll-up-your-sleeves operator comfortable with both enablement and strategy. You have business judgment, know what to fix versus escalate, and earn trust across functions. You are a generalist who learns fast and owns outcomes without being chased. The role is fully remote across the US and Canada, with quarterly travel required for off-sites and team gatherings. REQUIREMENTS: - 3+ years in business operations, strategy and operations, strategic finance, or consulting - Comfort with numbers: can work from financial and operating metrics, spot what needs leadership attention, flag clearly - Comfort with contracts: can read NDAs and standard agreements, identify risk, know what to escalate (legal training not required) - Clear written and verbal communication: can brief outside counsel, prepare executive pre-reads, explain tradeoffs to non-specialists - High attention to detail across many moving parts (trackers, calendars, repositories, records) BONUS EXPERIENCE: - Exposure to contract or legal operations - Experience supporting board and investor reporting - Familiarity with Carta or cap table management - Experience building lightweight systems (decision logs, risk registers, compliance calendars) from scratch
