Marvel Fusion, Europe's leading fusion energy company founded in 2019, is seeking a Manager of Strategic Partnerships & Ecosystem to drive two interconnected workstreams: (1) Strategy & Roadmap Process (~50%) and (2) Technology Partnerships & Ecosystem (~50%).
In the Strategy & Roadmap role, you will design and run the company's strategy cadence, including annual strategy reviews, quarterly milestone boards, OKR derivation and tracking. You'll own the roadmap process—managing dependencies, interfaces, and priorities—while technical content remains with the SciTech teams. You'll produce decision-grade material for leadership and the board.
In Technology Partnerships, you'll build and operate Marvel Fusion's ecosystem and alliance program, modeled on leading industry alliance programs. This includes partner mapping, alliance governance, onboarding, and working-group cadence. You'll structure and advance technology collaborations (MoUs, JDAs, joint development) aligned with the roadmap, handling partner selection, timing, and location decisions. You'll also support or directly own selected strategic partnerships and programs, such as collaborations with Siemens Energy and Fusion Hubs.
You should be a sharp strategic thinker who can set direction and build processes to execute on it. Exceptional interpersonal skills are essential—the role lives at interfaces between departments, leadership, and external partners. You'll need a technical background and genuine willingness to go deep into physics and engineering to earn the respect of the SciTech teams. The ideal candidate has 3–4 years of experience in ops & strategy roles in deep tech startups (aerospace, biotech, or energy). The company notes there's potential to split these responsibilities into two roles if a candidate has significant OKR rollout experience.
