Salary: USD 160,000 - 195,000 / annual
Coast is reimagining the U.S. B2B card payments infrastructure, focusing on the 500,000 commercial fleets and 40 million commercial vehicles in the country. The company is building modern digital experiences and transparent financial services for trades and transportation businesses through its Fleet and Fuel Card product, backed by a cutting-edge spend management platform.
As Manager of Strategic Partnerships, you will own the critical work of establishing and scaling strategic partnerships that drive Coast's product distribution. You will work closely with the Head of Partnerships, CEO, and executive team to shape partnership strategies that unlock at-scale distribution and create customer value.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and execute partnership strategies to identify, prioritize, and engage prospective partners for both distribution and customer value creation
- Build and manage a pipeline of partnership targets, structuring deals with attractive economics
- Negotiate agreements with partners, collaborating with finance, legal, and executive functions to establish repeatable deal frameworks
- Activate partnerships through marketing initiatives including collateral development, webinars, sales activation, and direct customer engagement
- Manage ongoing partner relationships to drive toward long-term strategic goals and measurable success
- Identify innovative partnership constructs for distribution, customer value, and driver/employee engagement
- Attend industry tradeshows and events to advance partnerships
- Collaborate cross-functionally to stand up and scale partnerships
Success in the first year means increasing active partnerships driving meaningful acquisition, driving growth in deals sold through partner teams (not just referrals), unlocking new distribution verticals, and ensuring partnerships drive healthy margins alongside revenue growth.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year university
- Minimum 3–7 years of experience in business development or partner management
- Enterprise sales and partner enablement experience strongly preferred
- Background in vertical SaaS, field services trades, fleet management, financial services (including payments), or venture-backed technology companies
- Outstanding executive presence and communication skills for internal and external audiences at all levels
- AI-native mindset; already using AI tools in daily work
- Strong analytical instincts; comfortable pulling metrics, spotting trends, and translating data into operational and commercial decisions
- Experience negotiating deals from indicative commercials through legal review
- Sales and pitching toolkit: ability to prospect, qualify, demonstrate, negotiate, and close deals
- Excitement about early-stage, fast-growing companies and navigating ambiguity
- General business acumen and understanding of complex business and revenue models
