ShopMy is a unicorn ($1.5B valuation) transforming e-commerce by building infrastructure for human-led curation at scale. The company enables top creators to monetize their influence and partner directly with brands, driving discovery through trusted tastemakers and authentic recommendations.
This Manager role owns ShopMy's art vertical end-to-end, responsible for defining and growing the art ecosystem by recruiting the industry's most influential tastemakers—artists, collectors, gallerists, curators, and other compelling voices. You will identify, recruit, onboard, and cultivate top talent while developing strategic partnerships across the art world including galleries, auction houses, fairs, museums, and cultural institutions.
Key responsibilities include: proactively pitching artists, gallerists, collectors, and curators to join the platform; sourcing right-fit talent whose taste translates into commerce; activating existing relationships with artists and galleries to increase participation; developing art-world partnerships and events that drive onboarding and brand relevance; and partnering closely with Marketing, Creator, and Brand teams to feature talent in elevated, editorial, and commercially effective ways.
You'll need 5+ years of experience in partnerships, business development, talent relations, or related commercial roles within the art world or adjacent cultural industries. An existing network across the contemporary art world—especially among socially active artists, gallerists, curators, and tastemakers—is essential. You should have a proven track record of building relationships and converting niche networks into business outcomes, excellent communication and organizational skills, and passion for taste-driven commerce and the creator economy. Comfort operating in fast-moving, ambiguity-rich startup environments is required. NYC-based is a plus but not required.
