As Manager of Software Engineering, you will lead and develop high-performing, cross-functional engineering teams responsible for delivery and integration of services centered on the Salesforce platform (Sales Cloud and Health Cloud). You balance technical leadership with people management to ensure your team delivers reliable, scalable, and impactful healthcare technology.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop talent and technical skills through regular 1:1s, mentorship, and clear career pathing
- Drive agile delivery with predictable sprint cycles and high velocity
- Provide hands-on technical leadership, guiding architectural decisions and code quality standards
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, Security, and Marketing to define vision and prioritize backlog
- Ensure engineering processes and systems meet healthcare regulatory standards (HIPAA, SOC 2)
- Optimize engineering operations by identifying bottlenecks and implementing process improvements
- Define and monitor KPIs for team productivity, code quality, and delivery timelines
You bring 8+ years of professional software engineering experience and 2+ years of direct people leadership. You have a people-first leadership philosophy with proven ability to build high-performing teams through hiring, training, and mentoring. You cultivate team culture that is creative, collaborative, curious, caring, and conscientious.
Technical expertise includes Python, React, TypeScript, Flask/FastAPI, Redux, NoSQL, and serverless architectures. You have solid understanding of cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code (AWS, CloudFormation, Terraform). You excel at cross-functional collaboration and have passion for process improvement and agile methodologies.
