As Manager of Software Engineering, you will lead and develop high-performing, cross-functional engineering teams responsible for Salesforce (Sales Cloud and Health Cloud) platform delivery and integration. This is a hands-on people management role balancing technical leadership with team development.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading cross-functional engineering teams with explicit focus on talent development, career pathing, and mentorship through regular 1:1s
- Owning day-to-day execution and delivery; championing agile methodologies for predictable sprint cycles and high velocity
- Providing hands-on technical leadership: guiding architectural decisions, setting code quality standards, participating in code reviews
- Collaborating with Product, Design, Security, and Marketing to define vision, prioritize backlog, and ensure alignment
- Ensuring engineering processes and system architecture meet healthcare regulatory standards (HIPAA, SOC 2)
- Identifying bottlenecks and implementing process improvements to enhance development efficiency and team health
- Defining and monitoring KPIs for team productivity, code quality, and delivery timelines
Required qualifications:
- 8+ years professional software engineering experience
- 2+ years direct people leadership and engineering management experience
- Proven ability to build and develop high-performing teams through hiring, training, mentoring, and feedback
- Strong technical background: Python, React, TypeScript, Flask/FastAPI, Redux, NoSQL, Serverless architectures
- Cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code experience (AWS, CloudFormation, Terraform)
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills and passion for agile methodologies
- People-first leadership philosophy and culture-driven mindset
