Top Hat is seeking a Manager, Software Engineering to lead the Aktiv development team. You will manage and mentor a group of high-performing engineers, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment while driving technical innovation and ensuring successful delivery of high-quality solutions across web and mobile platforms.
Key responsibilities include team leadership and performance management through regular 1:1s and continuous feedback; strategic planning to balance high-impact projects with technical debt management; cross-functional collaboration with Product and Design teams to define roadmaps and prioritize backlogs; fostering technical excellence in code quality and architecture; and resolving conflicts while facilitating decision-making.
You bring a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or at least 7 years of software engineering experience. You have a proven track record leading software engineering teams, growing talent, and navigating complex technical problems. You've shipped both web and mobile products at scale and have hands-on experience as a software engineer, ideally with Java and/or React. You excel at decomposing complex business problems into actionable technical plans and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
