Salary: USD 200,000 - 250,000 / annual

Ripple is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a software engineering team building the future of corporate treasury and blockchain-based financial infrastructure. This role is part of GTreasury, a Ripple solution acquired in 2025 that serves some of the world's largest corporations, enabling them to move, manage, and optimize liquidity in real-time across traditional and digital assets. You will lead a diverse portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers experienced in event-driven, cloud-native services and full-stack systems. Your responsibilities include driving technical direction, ensuring engineering excellence, building and mentoring your team, and collaborating with product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions. Key responsibilities: - Lead and mentor a team of developers, fostering career growth and technical excellence - Drive technical direction, architecture decisions, and system design for complex distributed systems - Collaborate with product and cross-functional teams to deliver solutions meeting business and customer needs - Implement agile development methodologies and continuously improve team processes and practices - Participate in the YBIYRI (you-build-it-you-run-it) model, including on-call pager rotation - Ensure all work meets quality, operational, and architectural standards - Stay current with technology trends and mentor the broader engineering community - Drive transparency and partnership between engineering and business stakeholders Required qualifications: - Strong leadership and people management skills with proven ability to build and retain high-performing teams - Deep software engineering experience in complex distributed systems - Strong technical competence in software development lifecycle, Agile methodologies, and project management - Hands-on approach with ability to deep dive into code and technical details - Excellent communication, coordination, and influencing skills - Ideally, deep knowledge of Microsoft languages/frameworks (C#/.NET, SQL Server, Entity Framework) - Azure experience (Function Apps, Service Bus, etc.) is a bonus This is an in-office role based in Chicago, Illinois.
