Delinea is seeking a Manager of Software Engineering to lead the Iris AI team, which powers AI-driven capabilities across Delinea's identity security platform. Iris AI uses large language models to detect anomalies in audit data, enhance authorization decisions, and deploy intelligent agents for enterprise customers. You will manage a team of senior engineers building and operating the services behind Delinea's AI features, including LLM inference, retrieval, tool calling, agents, and evaluation frameworks. You'll own a portion of the Iris AI roadmap and be responsible for delivery, scope, and priorities. You report to the Director of Engineering, Iris AI. Key responsibilities include leading team hiring, coaching, and career development; translating product and engineering roadmaps into operational plans; partnering with peer managers, Product, UX, Architecture, and platform teams to align priorities; and establishing quality practices for non-deterministic systems. You'll help define evaluation harnesses, regression testing for prompts and agents, and production monitoring of model behavior. You'll ensure AI features meet Delinea's security and privacy standards, including tenant data isolation, defenses against prompt injection and tool misuse, and responsible handling of customer audit data. You'll oversee code and design reviews, own operational health (infrastructure as code with Terraform, CI/CD, monitoring, on-call, incident response), and champion AI-first engineering practices where the team uses coding agents daily. Required: Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent); 2+ years directly managing software engineering teams with strong hands-on engineering background; 7+ years designing, building, and shipping enterprise software to production; hands-on experience shipping LLM-powered products (inference, structured outputs, RAG, tool calling, agents) using platforms like Azure AI Foundry, OpenAI API, Amazon Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, or Anthropic API; fluency with AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) and ability to establish team practices around spec-driven development and verified output; strong understanding of distributed systems, API design, microservices, and multi-tenant SaaS architecture.
