Salary: USD 166,345 - 195,700 / annual
Coinbase is seeking an experienced SEC Reporting Manager to join its Financial Reporting organization. Reporting to the Director of SEC Reporting, you will own major portions of Coinbase's external reporting process as a public company, including Forms 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, earnings release support, and related audit and control activities.
You will serve as a key owner of the end-to-end 10-Q/10-K/8-K production cycle, managing calendar coordination, drafting workflows, review processes, tie-outs, and final filing support. You will lead complex disclosure areas, translating accounting, business, and operational changes into clear, decision-useful external reporting. Cross-functional partnership is central to the role: you will work closely with Controllership, Technical Accounting, FP&A, Investor Relations, Legal, Tax, and external auditors to resolve judgmental issues and deliver timely, accurate filings.
Beyond day-to-day reporting, you will drive structural improvements to SEC reporting infrastructure, including Workiva optimization, source-data flows, supporting templates, review controls, and process documentation. You will support audit requests, quarterly board and audit committee materials, and ad hoc analyses tied to external reporting. You will also coach and elevate junior team members through review, process discipline, and operating best practices.

REQUIREMENTS:
- 9+ years of relevant experience in SEC reporting, external reporting, or public-company financial reporting, including recent hands-on ownership of 10-Q/10-K processes
- CPA or equivalent required
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SEC disclosure requirements, SOX controls, and public-company reporting mechanics
- Demonstrated experience owning complex disclosures, coordinating auditors, and managing cross-functional stakeholders under tight deadlines
- Experience with Workiva (Wdesk), NetSuite, and spreadsheet-based analytical review in a controlled reporting environment
- Strong written judgment, project management, and communication skills, with the ability to improve ambiguous or evolving processes
- Ability to utilize generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality
