Veeam, the Data and AI Trust Company, is seeking a Manager of Salesforce Data Engineering to lead a team of Salesforce system engineers building reliable, secure, and scalable data solutions across Salesforce and connected enterprise systems. This role immediately owns two critical workstreams: Dual Org Sync (Salesforce-to-Salesforce integration connecting two Salesforce orgs) and Data Migration (Salesforce-to-Salesforce migration efforts). You will manage, mentor, and grow the engineers delivering these initiatives.
Key responsibilities include owning and leading both the Dual Org Sync and Data Migration workstreams, ensuring reliable and secure data flow with minimal business disruption. You'll lead the design, delivery, and support of Salesforce data solutions that are scalable and maintainable, translating business needs into technical plans covering data modeling, integrations, migrations, transformations, and automation. You'll manage a team of engineers with full people leadership duties: hiring, onboarding, workforce planning, feedback, performance management, and career development.
You'll partner across product, business, engineering, QA, data warehouse, and data quality teams to align priorities and deliver successful outcomes. A key differentiator is championing adoption of cutting-edge AI technologies within the team—applying AI-powered tools and agentic approaches to automate workflows, accelerate delivery, and strengthen data quality. You'll improve platform health by simplifying data flows, reducing technical debt, and strengthening observability. You'll guide technical decisions through design reviews, code reviews, troubleshooting, and knowledge sharing, while fostering a collaborative team culture.
Required qualifications: 8+ years in software/data engineering with 4+ years developing on the Salesforce platform. 2+ years of people management experience leading data engineering or Salesforce engineering teams. Proven experience designing and supporting integrations, migrations, and transformations across Salesforce and enterprise systems; hands-on experience with Salesforce-to-Salesforce integrations and org-to-org migrations strongly preferred. Hands-on Salesforce platform development (Apex, Lightning Components, Flow) with strong expertise in data modeling, SQL, SOQL, CPQ architectures, security, and automation. Experience with enterprise ETL tools such as dbAmp. Demonstrated hands-on proficiency with cutting-edge AI technologies—building or deploying AI agents, LLM-powered automation, or applied AI/ML tooling in engineering workflows, beyond general chat usage. Strong strategic prioritization, problem-solving, debugging, and incident support skills. Clear communication and ability to influence technical direction across teams.
Bonus: Salesforce Administrator, Platform App Builder, or Platform Developer certifications. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (equivalent experience considered). Demonstrated application of AI/agentic tooling in professional projects.
