Salary: USD 160,000 - 180,000 / annual
Crusoe is a vertically integrated AI infrastructure company building the future of energy-efficient AI compute. As Manager of Process Engineering, you will lead a high-performing team responsible for transitioning engineered-to-order product design data into production-ready manufacturing data for power distribution equipment, including switchboards, switchgear, industrial control panels, Power Distribution Centers (PDCs), and Modular Data Centers (MDCs).
Your primary focus will be people leadership: building, mentoring, and developing your process engineering team while maintaining deep technical expertise as a senior individual contributor. You will own the manufacturing build readiness process and "Clear to Build" (CTB) milestones for all engineered-to-order power distribution products. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and mentoring a team of process engineers, delegating work, reviewing technical output, and ensuring high execution standards
- Owning Manufacturing Bills of Materials (MBOMs) and ensuring accurate translation from Engineering BOMs (EBOMs) into production-ready formats
- Acting as a strategic stakeholder in the implementation and rollout of a new manufacturing PLM system, partnering closely with the PLM Administrator
- Ensuring all manufacturing processes, documentation, procurement, and system data achieve "Clear to Build" status before production
- Providing expert-level guidance on complex mechanical and electrical design documentation, fabrication drawings, and schematics
- Driving creation and standardization of Manufacturing Bills of Processes (MBOP) and Visual Work Instructions (VWIs)
- Serving as the primary leadership point of contact for planning deliverables, coordinating across purchasing, production, inventory, and project management
- Collaborating with suppliers and vendors on quotes, proposals, and external manufacturing capabilities
You will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a geographically dispersed team across multiple sites. This is a safety-sensitive position requiring participation in drug and alcohol programs.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in manufacturing, industrial, or process engineering roles
- Minimum 2+ years of direct people management experience
- Expert-level technical skills with ability to dive deep into technical problems
- Deep experience managing MBOMs and working within Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
- Experience as a power user, stakeholder, or partner in PLM system implementations (highly preferred)
- Expert ability to read, interpret, and review fabrication drawings, electrical schematics, and complex Engineering Bills of Materials
- Strong familiarity with sourcing, purchasing practices, production management, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Ability to lead, delegate, and collaborate effectively across multiple sites with geographically dispersed teams
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's Degree in Engineering, Data Science, or related field
- CAD software proficiency (SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD Electrical)
- PLM implementation and administration experience (Siemens Teamcenter preferred)
- ERP implementation, administration, or sustainment experience (Acumatica preferred)
- Proven track record designing manufacturing processes, implementing continuous improvements, and leading 5S, visual factory, and lean initiatives
