Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Manager of Manufacturing Test Engineering to lead the electromagnetic warfare (EW) manufacturing test team. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on technical leadership of production systems supporting high-volume defense hardware. You will direct a manufacturing test engineering team, setting objectives and assessing outcomes while ensuring rigorous testing protocols deliver superior quality products. Key responsibilities include overseeing manufacturing test strategy across products, collaborating with product and development engineering teams on design testability, and strategizing advancements in test automation and operational efficiency. You'll maintain test capabilities across multiple products—from system-level checkouts and acceptance testing to component-level in-process validation. This includes evaluating test data, identifying product and process improvements, and communicating strategic visions to stakeholders as platforms scale from low-rate initial production (LRIP) through full-rate production (FRP). Additional responsibilities encompass leading procurement and implementation of new test equipment with ROI analysis, championing safety and quality initiatives, cultivating an innovative engineering culture, and serving as the technical authority for manufacturing test matters. You'll design proactive maintenance and calibration protocols for test equipment and manage complex electro-mechanical hardware troubleshooting. Required qualifications include 8+ years in manufacturing test and product sustainment, a bachelor's degree in electrical/electronics, computer, or mechanical engineering, and 2+ years as a people manager in manufacturing test engineering. You must have hands-on experience with test automation (Linux, C#, Python, LabView), computer hardware communication protocols (USB, Ethernet, RS232, RS485, PCIe, HDMI, CAN), PCBA/electronic assembly testing, and RF test equipment. Familiarity with Test Execution Systems (TES), Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), and ERP systems is essential. You must be able to obtain and maintain US DoD security clearance.
