Salary: USD 75,000 - 85,000 / annual
Tempus is a precision medicine platform that uses AI to deliver real-time, actionable insights to physicians about optimal treatments for patients. This role manages inventory control operations for the organization's laboratory supply chain.
You will supervise and direct inventory, receiving, and supply chain associates and coordinators. Key responsibilities include:
• Oversee receiving, counting, lot control, and deployment processes
• Develop and maintain kanban inventory control systems for systematic lab deployment from main stockrooms
• Lead inventory count processes, review discrepancies, and compile findings for cross-functional review
• Recommend and implement process improvements related to FEFO (First Expiration, First Out) deployment
• Assist in developing barcode scanning solutions for stockrooms
• Own development of inventory acceptance process documentation for consumables per regulatory requirements
• Develop and maintain cycle counting protocols following ABC classification methodology
• Monitor space requirements and develop action plans for capacity expansion (storage, freezers, etc.)
• Manage supervisory responsibilities including hiring, termination, corrective action, and performance reviews
• Coordinate with QC to monitor and relocate high-value items to mitigate risk
• Maintain documentation and system information for special storage requirements and certificates in the QMS system
• Coordinate with laboratory staff to understand and address high usage variances
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, operations, or related field
• At least 5+ years in supply chain or inventory management, including at least 1 year in a leadership role
• Proficiency with inventory scanning software, databases, and systems
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
• Ability to work independently and coordinate information across departments
• Thrives in fast-paced environments with sense of urgency
• Impeccable organizational skills, integrity, and attention to detail
Highly Desirable:
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
• APICS, lean, or six-sigma certifications
