As Manager of Forward Deployed Services, you will lead a team of Forward Deployed Product Managers (FDPMs) managing DOSS's most complex, high-value client relationships. This is a player-coach role where you stay deeply hands-on while leading your team through the full post-sales lifecycle.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading a team of FDPMs across upper mid-market and enterprise clients, accountable for team output, client outcomes, and individual development
- Staying hands-on across discovery, design, implementation, and go-live phases — not delegating from above but working alongside your team
- Owning success of DOSS's most complex client relationships; your portfolio directly reflects team execution
- Conducting cross-functional deep dives to map end-to-end business processes and workflows across customer organizations
- Driving new product capabilities that support DOSS's push into upper mid-market and enterprise segments
- Setting best-in-class standards and building/improving processes across the team
- Translating process flows into product design and configuration within the DOSS platform
- Partnering with technical teams on integrations and data migrations
- Leading portfolio through UAT, training, and go-live support; building relationships that drive retention and expansion
- Coaching FDPMs on client management, problem-solving frameworks, and delivery quality
- Driving automation and AI-forward improvements to product and customer lifecycle processes
Requirements:
- 5+ years of leadership experience in engineering, consulting, finance, operations, product operations, or technical program management (leading or mentoring others)
- ERP experience is a major plus but not required
- Systems thinker who can traverse interconnected people, process, and technology domains and teach others to do the same
- Player-coach mentality: lead by doing, roll up sleeves, model the work, hold the bar
- Thrived in high-pressure environments (startups, consulting, finance)
- Technical from first principles: can grok hard engineering and logic problems from intuition and break them down for your team
- Intellectual firepower: cut through noise, synthesize fast, make good calls under ambiguity
- Strong analytical mindset; SQL experience is a plus but not required
