iCapital is hiring a Manager for DevOps and DBA Engineering to lead the Annuities Platform team's infrastructure and database operations. This is a hands-on technical management role responsible for strategy, design, and execution of DevOps practices and database platform operations supporting enterprise SaaS solutions.
Key responsibilities include leading and developing a high-performing team of DevOps Engineers and Database Administrators through hiring, performance management, mentoring, and career development. You will define and execute the DevOps and DBA roadmap aligned with product and platform strategy, owning the design, reliability, and continuous improvement of CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) supporting automated build, test, release, and rollback for all SaaS products.
You will own SQL Server database operations across production and non-production environments, including performance tuning, indexing, capacity planning, patching cadence, backup and recovery (RTO/RPO), and always-on high-availability and disaster recovery configurations. The role requires maintaining hands-on technical expertise while managing infrastructure security, compliance, and operational excellence across the platform.
As a Technical Manager, you will serve as the technical SME, maintaining databases and managing deployment pipelines while reporting to the Director of Enterprise Technology. You will partner closely with Engineering, Architecture, Security, and Product teams to ensure reliability, automation, and operational excellence. This position combines people leadership with deep technical accountability for mission-critical infrastructure supporting the company's SaaS platform.
