FlixBus is seeking a Manager for Vehicle Disposition & Maintenance Coordination to join the Flixtrain fleet management team in Berlin. This role is responsible for ensuring short- and medium-term vehicle availability and coordinating maintenance activities in compliance with ECM (Entity in Charge of Maintenance) regulations.
Key responsibilities include:
**Vehicle Availability & Disposition:** Manage short- and medium-term vehicle availability through coordinated disposition of vehicles to and from maintenance facilities. Plan vehicle deployment while adhering to ECM requirements.
**Maintenance Management:** Commission maintenance services from workshops according to existing contracts, evaluate completed work, prepare maintenance documentation (WIBG), and contribute to determining required production hours.
**Disruption & Damage Management:** Monitor and track reported vehicle faults, manage damage inventory in the IT system, and coordinate short-term measures such as organizing replacement vehicles in close coordination with requesting departments.
**Materials & Coordination:** Coordinate material availability, request materials from Flixtrain storage locations, and participate in regular coordination meetings with workshops and internal stakeholders.
**Reporting & Process Optimization:** Provide relevant data for reporting, maintain vehicle return-to-service documentation, support projects, and actively identify optimization opportunities in internal processes and partner collaboration.
Required qualifications:
- Technical and rail-specific expertise in rail vehicle technology or maintenance, ideally with ECM compliance and relevant maintenance regulation experience
- Proven practical experience in vehicle or resource disposition and deployment planning, preferably in rail transport or comparable transport sectors
- Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel
- Excellent coordination and communication abilities to work effectively with workshops, internal departments, and external partners under time pressure
- Analytical thinking and process understanding to identify operational improvements and prepare structured reporting data
