Harvey is an AI platform transforming legal and professional services by combining frontier agentic AI, enterprise-grade infrastructure, and deep domain expertise. You'll build and lead Harvey's first Business Technology engineering team in Dublin, anchoring the EMEA engineering bench as the company scales internationally. This is a working manager role: you'll manage a small nucleus of Enterprise Application Engineers and AI Enablement Engineers, then hire and develop the team from there. You'll spend meaningful time hands-on in code and architecture, setting the technical bar by demonstrating it yourself.
Key responsibilities include:
- Hiring, onboarding, and developing a Dublin-based team; owning interview loops, ramp plans, and performance
- Staying hands-on with system design, code review, integrations, and unblocking production issues
- Owning the internal application layer across Harvey's core platforms (Salesforce, Workday, NetSuite, Okta, Marketo, Zendesk, Google Workspace, Slack, Linear, Notion)
- Leading AI enablement initiatives: deploying agents, MCP servers, and internal AI tooling with proper evaluation, guardrails, and enablement
- Partnering with Finance, People, GTM, Marketing, Customer Experience, Legal, and Workplace teams to translate business problems into scoped engineering work
- Establishing engineering standards for code, testing, deployment, documentation, and monitoring
- Making build-vs-buy decisions with cost, security, and maintainability in view
- Providing senior BizTech presence in Dublin with US stakeholder overlap
Required qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of engineering management experience plus 7+ years of hands-on enterprise application, integration, or internal platform engineering
- Hands-on depth in a modern language (Python, TypeScript, Go, or similar) and real experience designing and operating API-based integrations
- Working knowledge of enterprise SaaS landscape (CRM, HRIS, ERP, IdP, marketing automation, support/CX platforms) and business process flows (Lead-to-Cash, Hire-to-Retire, post-sale support)
- Demonstrated experience applying LLMs or AI agents to production problems with clear perspective on evaluation and guardrails
- Track record of hiring, developing engineers, and raising technical bar on inherited or built teams
- Strong communication and stakeholder management, especially with non-technical teams
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth, global environment
Bonus: experience standing up Business Technology or internal tools functions in new offices/regions, background at high-growth B2B SaaS scaling through 2,000+ employees, hands-on work with AI/ML systems.
