Fanatics Betting & Gaming (FBG) is seeking a Manager of Engineering Software to lead the Trading Engineering team in Dublin. This role sits at the intersection of sports betting, real-time risk management, and platform innovation. You'll manage a team of software engineers building sophisticated, low-latency systems that power FBG's sportsbook and iGaming operations across North America and Europe.
Key responsibilities include leading your team in adopting new technologies and practices, collaborating with Product Management and quantitative analysts to develop user-first solutions, and championing a metrics-driven culture focused on measurable impact. You'll oversee the development of scalable, reliable systems while actively reducing technical debt and improving performance. Your role involves mentoring engineers, supporting career development, and helping shape the next generation of technical leaders.
You'll build strong cross-functional partnerships to influence product strategy and technical direction at scale, communicate complex technical ideas to stakeholders and executives, and stay current with industry trends and best practices. The position requires occasional travel for offsites and key collaboration sessions.
