Fabletics is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Creative Systems team, responsible for the platforms and tooling that power creative production, management, and publishing across web, mobile, retail, email, and paid media channels. The team owns three interconnected platform areas: Digital Asset Management (DAM) and creative production tooling; marketing and creative automation platforms (campaign setup, personalization, dynamic creative delivery); and CMS/content platforms. These systems directly impact speed-to-market, content quality, and conversion rates.
This is a people leadership role combined with hands-on technical contribution. Primary responsibilities include career development and performance management of engineers and QA partners, owning the squad's delivery rhythm (standups, ceremonies, planning, stakeholder alignment), and ensuring on-time, high-quality delivery. You will stay close to the technical work through code reviews, design discussions, pair programming on complex problems, and stepping in during critical situations like pipeline issues or launch-day incidents.
In the first six months, you'll focus on building relationships, learning the systems landscape, and owning delivery on the current roadmap. Subsequently, you'll partner with Product and Creative leadership on multi-year platform direction, including unifying creative and commerce systems and embedding AI into content production, management, and personalization workflows.
You'll report to the VP of Engineering and sit on the Fabletics Technology leadership team. The role requires occasional off-hours availability during launch windows and time-sensitive escalations.
Key responsibilities include: owning growth, performance, hiring, and engagement for the squad; running 1:1s and coaching engineers; managing delivery, sprint health, and technical direction; staying hands-on with code reviews and debugging; setting standards for AI-forward engineering practices; and holding the team accountable for clean, well-documented integrations across creative workflows, DAM, automation tools, and consumer-facing surfaces.
The technical stack includes Java-based content and media platforms, C#/.NET, Node.js, Python for AI/ML and automation, React, REST APIs, and AWS. Experience with third-party integrations, event-driven webhook orchestration, file-based pipelines, and video processing is expected.
