As Manager of Engineering for the Business Productivity team, you will lead a high-performing engineering team reporting to the VP of Platform Engineering. Your primary focus is improving the efficiency of internal business lines by embedding AI into core workflows.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead, mentor, and grow an engineering team through coaching, feedback, and hiring
- Partner with internal business units to identify high-leverage opportunities and ship end-to-end features that deliver measurable productivity gains
- Drive delivery of AI-native solutions
- Own core services ensuring secure, high-quality, reliable experiences in a fast-moving environment
- Balance quality with delivery speed, identify bottlenecks, and communicate tradeoffs across engineering, product, and business stakeholders
- Set technical direction across the team's roadmap with three strategic bets: AI adoption, employee efficiency, and foundational improvements
Ideal candidates bring:
- 6+ years hands-on engineering experience and 2+ years managing engineering teams
- Experience building web applications and APIs on cloud infrastructure (AWS or similar)
- Strong ownership mindset and proactive problem-solving
- Ability to partner with non-technical business stakeholders and translate workflows into technical solutions
- Experience thriving in startup or fast-moving, high-accountability environments
- Commitment to high-performing, mission-driven teams with intense urgency and authentic feedback
Tech stack: Python, TypeScript, React, NodeJS, Kubernetes, Istio, Postgres, ElasticSearch, NATS, AWS, Terraform.
