Join Deliveroo's rapidly growing Accounting team as Manager of Engineering for Accounting Infrastructure and Systems. You will lead a team responsible for building and maintaining scalable backend systems, data pipelines, and integrations that power accounting, reconciliation, and financial reporting workflows across the DoorDash group (which includes Deliveroo, Wolt, and DoorDash US).
In this role, you'll own the strategic roadmap and execution for accounting infrastructure, partnering closely with Finance, Accounting, and cross-functional engineering teams to translate complex regulatory and operational requirements into reliable, automated platforms. You'll lead and mentor a team of engineers, setting technical direction and fostering a high-performance culture in a fast-moving, high-stakes financial environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning the strategic roadmap for data pipelines, system integrations, and automation platforms powering financial reporting, reconciliation, and compliance at scale
- Partnering with Accounting, Finance, and engineering teams to translate regulatory requirements into auditable backend systems
- Leading and mentoring engineers while driving measurable improvements in data accuracy, pipeline reliability, and system scalability
- Enabling faster close cycles and audit readiness across the organization
You bring 7+ years of data or software engineering experience, including 2+ years leading engineering teams, ideally in fintech, marketplace, or high-growth tech. You have hands-on expertise with modern data infrastructure tools (Fivetran, dbt Cloud, Snowflake, Workato) and strong working knowledge of financial processes including revenue recognition, reconciliation, and close workflows. Experience with distributed systems, data quality frameworks, and SOX-relevant controls is a strong plus. You're a clear communicator who can align diverse stakeholders around complex technical tradeoffs.
