Prenuvo is transforming healthcare from reactive sick-care to proactive preventative medicine through award-winning whole-body MRI scans (fast, safe, non-invasive) combined with optimized hardware, software, and AI. The company operates domestic and global clinics and is scaling its medical group.
You will build and lead a centralized credentialing and medical staff services function supporting 200+ healthcare professionals across multiple states. This is a high-impact, visible role combining hands-on operational ownership with function building. You will stabilize critical workflows, modernize systems, and shape the service model and team needed to support Prenuvo Medical Group's growth.
**Key Responsibilities:**
**Credentialing, Licensing & Compliance:** Own end-to-end primary source verification, credentialing, re-credentialing, initial licensure, and license renewals for physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, MRI technologists, and other licensed healthcare professionals across required states. Partner with Legal and Clinical Leadership to define and maintain role- and state-specific licensure requirements, then translate them into documented workflows, controls, tracking, and escalation processes. Maintain an accurate, authoritative healthcare professional roster and credentialing records. Proactively manage renewals and monitor licensing-board status, sanctions, exclusions, and adverse-status changes. Establish advance deadlines, controls, and escalation pathways to prevent lapses and maintain audit readiness. Coordinate required training, attestations, certifications, CME requirements, background checks, fingerprinting, and other compliance requirements. Support internal and external audits. Administer FPPE and OPPE workflows by maintaining clinician-specific review schedules, sending reminders, tracking completion, escalating overdue items, and maintaining audit-ready records.
**Healthcare Professional Onboarding & Lifecycle:** Lead operational onboarding and offboarding for healthcare professionals. Coordinate credentialing, licensing, required documentation, system access, training, and other readiness dependencies. Establish onboarding checklists and service levels, remove bottlenecks, and escalate incomplete requirements before they affect start dates or clinical operations.
**Systems, Data & Operational Improvement:** Establish and maintain an authoritative source of truth for credentialing, healthcare professional readiness, and FPPE/OPPE status. Define data ownership, reconciliation processes, quality controls, reporting standards, and accountability across systems. Design standardized and trackable workflows using credentialing platforms and internal systems. Use company-approved automation and AI tools to reduce manual work and improve visibility. Measure cycle time, backlog, accuracy, readiness, and service performance. Identify recurring failure points and implement scalable solutions.
**Medical Staff Operations & Healthcare Professional Experience:** Serve as centralized operational point of contact for clinician administrative needs. Maintain documented service catalog, intake process, response-time standards, and escalation pathways. Own and improve healthcare professional reimbursement workflows, including CME, licensure, and approved professional expenses. Resolve practice-related administrative issues in partnership with Clinical Leadership, HR, Finance, Legal, Compliance, and IT. Standardize, automate, delegate, or enable self-service for recurring requests.
**Cross-Functional Leadership & Growth:** Partner with senior clinical and operational leaders to establish priorities, accountability, and operating standards. Set submission deadlines and service-level expectations. Proactively escalate at-risk licenses, incomplete applications, non-responsiveness, and unresolved dependencies. Support expansion into new states and markets. Help define future staffing model, technology roadmap, vendor strategy, and organizational structure. Manage assigned staff, contractors, and vendors.
**Requirements:**
- Five or more years of progressively responsible experience in healthcare professional credentialing, multi-state licensure, medical staff services, or medical group operations
- Direct experience with primary source verification, license renewals, compliance monitoring, audit-ready recordkeeping, and healthcare professional onboarding
- Demonstrated success building or improving credentialing systems, workflows, operational reporting, and source-of-truth records
- Experience operating in a complex, multi-state healthcare environment
- Ability to establish deadlines, influence healthcare professionals and cross-functional leaders, and escalate risks constructively
- Strong project management, analytical, communication, and operational problem-solving skills
- Ability to move between detailed workflow execution and higher-level program design
- Experience administering FPPE, OPPE, or comparable medical staff professional-practice evaluation processes, including tracking, documentation, reporting, and escalation
**Nice to Have:**
- Experience in high-growth healthcare, digital-health, telehealth, or multi-site medical group
- Experience implementing or optimizing credentialing platforms, workflow automation, or AI-enabled operational processes
- Experience managing credentialing staff, shared-service teams, contractors, or external vendors
- Experience designing centralized medical staff operations or healthcare professional support functions
