Blitzy is an AI software development platform that autonomously builds custom software to unlock the next industrial revolution. The company transforms how enterprises build software, turning requirements into production-ready code with an agentic platform capable of autonomously executing 80% of software development work. Backed by tier-1 investors and founded by repeat founders, Blitzy is building its Business Development function from the ground up. As Manager of Business Development, you will lead the founding cohort of technically-fluent BDRs, owning recruitment, onboarding, certification, and coaching. You report to the VP of Business Development and partner closely with Account Executives, Enablement, RevOps, and Recruiting. This is a builder and player-coach role where you will install playbooks, standards, and tooling with real reps, hold the bar high, and make the motion repeatable. Key responsibilities include hiring and developing the founding BDR team while maintaining territory coverage as the team scales. You will own onboarding and enablement, running the 30-60-90 ramp curriculum and certification gates. Daily coaching and weekly 1:1s focus on scorecard review, skill development (calls, objections, messaging), and pipeline walks with documented coaching notes. You own the metrics funnel—activity, connect rate, meetings booked and accepted, conversion, and pipeline generation—inspecting it routinely. You will run the accepted-NBM/quota-relief workflow against objective rubrics and audit approvals for consistency. Protecting the handoff between BDRs and Account Executives is critical: spot-check transitions, triage drop-off, and partner with AEs to kill bad pipeline, elevate good, and rescue sliding deals. You ensure inbound leads are actioned within SLA and keep CRM and team data accurate. Additional duties include creating spiffs for special motions, running QBRs, tracking attainment QoQ and YoY, and helping leadership evaluate tools and set best practices. You will assist in career pathing BDRs into AE and other GTM roles (BDR → Senior BDR → AE, approximately 16–18 months). The ideal candidate has experience managing or coaching SDR/BDR reps, or is a top-performing rep ready to lead, with a track record of developing early-career sellers. You can teach rigorous discovery motions like MEDDPICC and the pain funnel, and certify reps on tape. You are comfortable in technical, enterprise, high-ACV motions and can coach reps to speak credibly with engineering leaders and CTOs. You are data-driven in your coaching instincts, using tools like Gong and HubSpot to inspect behavior, not just activity. You have a builder's mindset, can help create processes, hold high standards, iterate with low ego and high curiosity, and bring a championship mentality. Prior SDR/BDR leadership at an enterprise SaaS or technical platform, with familiarity with modern software-development concepts, is preferred. This role builds Blitzy's future GTM leaders. As the function scales, the BDR Manager has a clear path to second-line leadership (Senior/Director, Business Development) and into the broader GTM organization. The BDR org is a talent engine—the leaders who build it will grow with it. You have the opportunity to define a new category in enterprise software at the ground floor.
