Ripple is seeking a Manager of AI Platform Engineering to lead the development and delivery of GSmart, an AI platform powering smart features across enterprise treasury products. This is a greenfield opportunity to shape the future of AI infrastructure at a fintech company focused on improving global financial systems through crypto solutions.
You will own the AI platform roadmap end-to-end, ensuring measurable and dependable AI systems. You'll partner closely with product and solution teams to translate customer challenges into technical solutions. A key responsibility is building and growing the AI platform engineering team—hiring, mentoring, and enabling engineers to own their deliverables.
Despite the management title, this is a hands-on role. You'll stay actively involved in architecture decisions and contribute to full-stack production code, maintaining technical credibility and staying current with AI/ML infrastructure trends.
Required experience: 7+ years in software engineering (full-stack development, AI/ML platform infrastructure), 2+ years in engineering management, strong full-stack skills (front-end, back-end, APIs), solid cloud infrastructure knowledge, and proven experience operating AI systems in production. Deep familiarity with modern LLM and GenAI infrastructure is essential.
