This Manager role owns multiple critical finance operations functions across the accounting lifecycle:
**Collections & Accounts Receivable:** You will actively manage AR and collections as a core responsibility, including billing, invoicing, AR aging monitoring, customer follow-up, and timely cash application. You'll drive improvements in cash collection performance by establishing collection cadences, tracking key metrics, and partnering with Sales and Customer Success to resolve disputes. You are accountable for AR metrics (DSO, aging buckets, past-due balances, cash forecast accuracy) reported to Finance leadership. You'll build direct relationships with customer AP and procurement contacts to resolve billing questions and payment blockers. You'll establish credit and collections policies, including customer credit review, payment terms, and bad debt reserve methodology. You'll automate collections workflows using AI and AR tooling, including dunning sequences and payment reminders.
**Accounts Payable & Purchasing:** You own the overall AP and purchasing function, including strategy, systems, processes, and controls. You'll partner with a Staff Accountant on day-to-day AP processing, providing oversight of invoice coding, approvals, payment runs, vendor setup, and 1099 compliance. You'll build scalable purchasing controls and workflows, including vendor onboarding, PO management, and purchase accruals. You'll lead the transition from Teampay to Ramp and own Ramp's buildout across bill pay, purchasing, approval workflows, virtual cards, and vendor management. You'll own Ramp's integration with NetSuite, including workflows, GL mappings, automation, and data accuracy.
**Systems & AI:** You own maintenance of AP systems (Ramp), AR/Revenue systems (Maxio), Sales Tax (Avalara), and their NetSuite integrations. You'll leverage AI tools, including Claude, to turn recurring work (contract and invoice review, coding, reconciliations, flux analysis, audit support) into documented, reusable workflows with appropriate controls.
**Revenue & Sales Tax:** You own monthly revenue recognition under ASC 606, including contract review, revenue schedules, deferred revenue roll-forwards, and reporting. You own sales tax reporting and compliance, coordinating with third-party tax providers. You'll improve and scale revenue and AR processes through AI and automation, and lead the transition from Maxio to a new revenue and AR platform with NetSuite integration.
**Month-End Close & Audit:** You support key close areas including revenue, AR, AP, COGS, prepaids, fixed assets, and leases, with balance sheet reconciliations and workpapers. You'll build and maintain audit-ready workpapers supporting account balances and key judgments. You'll prepare audit schedules and serve as primary contact for external auditors. You'll document and maintain processes and internal controls for areas you own.
