Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking an Accounting Manager to build and lead the long-lived assets function, including property, plant and equipment, leases, and intangibles. This is a foundational role preparing the company for potential IPO, rapid expansion, and business integrations. You will own the complete accounting lifecycle for long-lived assets end-to-end: managing fixed asset and lease subledgers, depreciation and amortization, additions, transfers, disposals, and monthly roll-forwards. You'll serve as the primary liaison between business units and capitalization policy, advising program, engineering, and operations teams on capitalize-versus-expense treatment and keeping policies current as the business scales. Key responsibilities include leading and mentoring a team of accountants, monitoring government grants funding capital projects, overseeing software asset capitalization under ASC 350, and owning monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities for long-lived asset accounts. You'll manage fixed asset, lease, and intangible asset footnotes and disclosures for financial reporting, review balance sheet reconciliations, and research variances. You will drive systems and process improvements to support company and team growth, build SOX-ready documentation and controls in preparation for public company readiness, and serve as the primary owner of external audit requests. Cross-functional partnership with FP&A, Procurement, Facilities and Real Estate, and Tax teams is essential for capital planning, lease commitments, asset tracking, and book-to-tax depreciation alignment. Required: Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field; 6+ years progressive accounting experience with direct people management; expertise in fixed assets and Capital Improvement Projects; working knowledge of ASC 360 (PP&E and impairment), ASC 842 (leases), and ASC 350 (intangibles); strong Excel and ERP systems skills; detail-oriented with ability to move at a fast pace in a hyper-growth environment.
