Anduril Industries is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance operations for our Maritime products, including autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs), on behalf of customers in the naval defense sector. This role is based in Sydney and requires leadership of a team of skilled technicians and tradespeople.
Key responsibilities include recruiting and managing maintenance teams, establishing forward operating facilities for test and maintenance activities, developing comprehensive maintenance plans and schedules, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality control procedures. You will oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities while collaborating with the Fleet Engineering team to improve equipment reliability and maintainability.
Additional duties encompass analyzing maintenance data and key metrics to identify improvement opportunities, developing and managing maintenance budgets with forecasting and cost control, coordinating with supply chain management for spare parts availability, and liaising with maritime customers and regulatory bodies. You will provide stakeholder input into root cause analysis for equipment failures, implement corrective actions, and work with the Product Lifecycle Maintenance function to optimize total lifecycle costs.
Required qualifications include a suitable trade or engineering qualification and 7-10+ years of maintenance management experience in high-tech industries. You must demonstrate proven experience in customer engagement, developing and implementing maintenance strategies and facilities, and working with condition-based and predictive maintenance technologies. Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication skills, and the ability to obtain and maintain an NV2 Security Clearance are essential.
