Salary: USD 180,000 - 220,000 / annual
CLEAR is building a secure identity platform that transforms how people live, work, and travel. With 43+ million members and a growing partner network, CLEAR is expanding beyond traditional ID verification into networked digital identity systems.
As a Machine Learning Engineer II, you will own foundational ML systems and drive the design, implementation, testing, and deployment of applications that power CLEAR's next-generation platform. You'll work on end-to-end ML systems that interconnect dozens of attributes and qualifications while maintaining member privacy and security at the core.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning and driving foundational ML system work at CLEAR
- Designing, building, and deploying ML models for document/image processing, fraud detection, and other applications
- Developing and implementing robust data pipelines at scale, including collection, preprocessing, transformation, and feature engineering
- Partnering with product and stakeholders to uncover requirements, innovate, and solve complex problems
- Taking strong ownership of architectural decisions and driving continuous improvement
You bring 3+ years of experience building, operating, and scaling ML models for consumer applications, with particular strength in end-to-end systems. You have expertise in designing and scaling complex data pipelines, feature engineering, model development/deployment, and monitoring. You're skilled at articulating technical concepts to mixed audiences, mentoring less experienced team members, and working autonomously in ambiguous environments. Your tech stack includes Python, Postgres, Snowflake, dbt, AWS SageMaker, and MLflow.
