Voyager Technologies is a defense, national security, and space technology company developing mission-critical solutions for the U.S. government. This Machine Learning Engineer role focuses on advancing deep learning technologies applied to computer vision, synthetic aperture radar (SAR), and geospatial exploitation.
You will research, design, and implement advanced deep neural network architectures and machine learning models to solve complex defense and national security challenges. Key responsibilities include developing and training neural networks for object detection and classification tasks, creating domain-aware preprocessing algorithms to improve model generalization, and applying signal processing techniques to SAR data. You'll also develop physics simulations of various phenomenologies and create methods to account for bias between simulated and real-world data.
The role requires designing appropriate objective functions, developing sound performance assessment plans, and delivering production-quality code primarily in Python. You'll present your work at meetings and conferences, contributing directly to solutions that impact U.S. government customers and national security priorities.
