Voyager Technologies is a defense, national security, and space technology company developing mission-critical solutions for the U.S. government. This Machine Learning Engineer role focuses on advancing deep learning technologies applied to computer vision, synthetic aperture radar (SAR), and geospatial exploitation.
You will research, design, and implement advanced deep neural network architectures and machine learning models to solve complex defense and national security challenges. Key responsibilities include developing and training neural networks for object detection and classification, creating domain-aware preprocessing algorithms to improve model generalization, and applying signal processing techniques to SAR data. You'll also develop physics simulations of various phenomenologies and methods to account for bias between simulated and real-world data, design appropriate objective functions, and create sound performance assessment plans.
The role requires developing production-quality code primarily in Python, with opportunities to present work at meetings and conferences. You will have considerable responsibility with direct impact on solutions serving U.S. government customers. This is an individual contributor position ideal for someone with strong deep learning fundamentals, experience with computer vision or signal processing, and the ability to work on high-stakes, mission-critical applications.
