The company is remote-first, headquartered in Neuchâtel, Switzerland, and recently launched in the US market. As Logistics Operations Manager, you will own end-to-end D2C logistics execution for Hilo's Webshop and Amazon operations across the USA and Canada. This is an individual contributor role with significant operational scope and autonomy. Lead carrier selection, route design, rate negotiation, and cost optimization. Coordinate freight booking, shipping schedules, and customs clearance. **Product Integrity & Inventory**: Ensure product integrity for temperature/humidity/pressure-sensitive devices. Maintain inventory visibility across warehouses and sales channels. Coordinate replenishment to avoid stockouts and excess inventory. **Reporting & Collaboration**: Define and track logistics KPIs (OTIF, lead time, cost per shipment, return rate). Drive continuous improvement. Collaborate with Manufacturing, Finance, Sales, Quality, and Customer Service. Success metrics include: Day 30—complete network knowledge; Day 60—independent execution and relationship ownership; Day 90—KPI reporting live and first improvement deployed. After one year: consistent on-time, accurate fulfillment; proactive issue resolution; US operation scaling to SLA; declining cost per shipment; strong 3PL/carrier partnerships. **Requirements** Essential: - 5+ years in logistics, fulfillment, or supply chain operations, ideally in D2C/ecommerce and international distribution - Proven experience managing 3PLs, carriers, and cross-border shipments - Solid working knowledge of last-mile delivery, Amazon fulfillment, and international shipping fundamentals - Hands-on experience with logistics or ERP tools and strong analytical skills - Excellent English (written and spoken) - US-based with authorization to work in the United States; willing to travel occasionally to warehouses in Switzerland, Germany, UK, Canada, Australia, and the USA - Minimum half-day working hours to overlap with European-based team (CET); quarterly travel to team and business events Nice to have: - BSc in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field (equivalent practical experience counts) - Chinese language proficiency - Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, or quality-regulated logistics - Experience setting up logistics operations in a new market
