Carta is a connected platform and AI-native ecosystem for private capital, serving 55,000 companies and 1.8M+ equity holders globally. As Legal Partnerships Manager, you will manage relationships with law firms, investment banks, compliance consultants, and other strategic business partners globally.
You'll own the full partnership lifecycle—identifying high-value opportunities, negotiating agreements, and managing ongoing relationships that generate measurable business outcomes. Your primary focus is identifying, structuring, and growing partnerships that drive distribution of Carta Law's services, converting potential competitors (law firms, investment banks, compliance consultancies) into active referral partners and collaborators.
This role sits at the intersection of business development, relationship management, and strategic planning. You'll work closely with the Carta Law Sales team in London or Americas offices, partnering with legal delivery, sales, marketing, and operations teams to ensure clients maximize value from Carta Law and grow with the platform over time.
You'll manage the full client lifecycle from onboarding through building deep, lasting relationships with fund managers and their legal teams. The role requires navigating complex, multi-stakeholder organizations and presenting to General Counsels and C-suite stakeholders.
Ideal candidates have 4+ years in partnerships or account management, preferably building partnership channels from scratch via law firms, asset management, or professional services firms. You should have strong understanding of the private markets ecosystem (PE, VC, credit, real assets) and how legal and compliance workstreams operate. You're commercially sharp, able to structure and close partnership deals, proactive, self-directed, and comfortable building something from the ground up. Experience with CRM tools (HubSpot preferred) is valued.
