Replit is seeking a Legal Operations Manager to serve as the operational backbone of the legal function at this AI-driven software creation platform. This role is central to managing legal requests, contract lifecycle, and corporate compliance across the organization.
You will act as the primary intake point for all legal requests, triaging by urgency and complexity, and routing to appropriate owners. You'll own contract management end-to-end, including vendor relationships, template management, and deadline tracking. You'll develop and maintain centralized systems for tracking contracts, requests, and compliance obligations.
Key responsibilities include: driving the legal team's operational strategy and identifying workflow improvements; implementing and optimizing an AI-driven tech stack in partnership with cross-functional teams; managing outside counsel relationships, billing, and e-billing; building knowledge management platforms and L&D programs; handling baseline legal reviews and escalating complex matters; managing corporate compliance matters including annual filings, policy updates, and team training; supporting strategic transactions and due diligence; and coordinating data privacy initiatives including data subject requests and impact assessments.
You'll partner closely with Finance and Legal leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and metrics. You'll run day-to-day legal operations, managing vendors, expenses, and team logistics. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to build systems that enable the legal team to perform at its best.
The position requires a minimum of 5 years of legal administrative experience, with strong prioritization and independent work capabilities. Startup experience and experience building lean legal teams are valued. This is a full-time hybrid role based in Foster City, CA, with in-office requirements on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
