ElevenLabs operates three main platforms: ElevenAgents (AI customer experience solutions), ElevenCreative (speech, music, image, and video generation across 70+ languages), and ElevenAPI (AI audio foundational models for developers).
You will own the legal operations function and lead its evolution for the company's next growth phase. Working alongside a dedicated automations engineering team, you will build and manage the systems that enable the Legal Team to scale: contract management, vendor relationships, outside counsel billing, and the overall legal technology stack. The role centers on defining what a modern legal organization looks like in an AI-native era.
Key responsibilities:
- Design and improve the operating model for Legal, identifying work best handled by the team versus areas for continued automation
- Manage the legal technology stack, including contract lifecycle management (Ironclad), matter management, and e-billing systems
- Manage relationships with outside counsel and legal service providers, including budget and performance tracking
- Collaborate with automation teams to leverage ElevenAgents and other tools to transform how work is done across the legal function
- Define metrics and build dashboards providing visibility into team priorities, workload, and performance
- Partner with Finance, IT, FDE, and business teams to keep legal processes aligned with company operations
You are a strategist and operator with intellectual curiosity and a passion for breaking down and rebuilding processes. You are highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive—comfortable juggling multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy. You communicate strongly, collaborate effectively across functions, and work independently in distributed, high-trust environments. You are genuinely interested in the future of AI and emerging technologies. You have previous experience at a high-growth technology or AI company.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in legal operations with some experience leading the function
- Deep expertise in legal technology, including CLM platforms (Ironclad a major plus), e-billing systems, and matter management tools
- Experience supporting global teams
- Strong analytical skills with experience gathering metrics to storytell and drive key business decisions
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage competing deadlines
