Revolut is a fintech super app serving 80+ million customers globally with products spanning spending, saving, investing, exchanging, and travel. The Legal team partners across the organization to provide practical advice enabling fast growth while maintaining compliance and protection.
You will join as a generalist Legal Counsel focused on market expansion, analyzing legal issues in new jurisdictions and building scalable processes for legal operations as Revolut enters new markets. This role offers unusual breadth and commercial involvement for an in-house position, with significant responsibility for ongoing development and growth.
Key responsibilities:
- Advise the business on compliance and legal issues surrounding the structuring and launch of new products in new markets
- Support Heads of Legal in new markets to manage legal risks and their teams
- Review licensing applications and requests for authorizations in new markets
- Support the setup of entities in new markets
- Help structure processes to incorporate legal workload and risk into expansion methods
- Engage and collaborate with team members globally
- Balance leadership with hands-on execution
- Handle significant and complex legal matters with short turnaround times
Requirements:
- 3+ years of post-qualification experience (PQE)
- Excellent academic and law firm credentials
- Experience advising on financial services matters
- Sound judgment, composure under pressure, and collaborative mindset
- Confidence making decisions with ambiguity or incomplete information
- Experience understanding legal issues in new jurisdictions
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills
- Fluency in English
