1Password is a rapidly growing cybersecurity company ($400M+ ARR, Forbes Cloud 100 for four consecutive years) trusted by over 180,000 businesses to deliver market-leading enterprise password management and Unified Access Management solutions. The company is building a safer, more productive digital future by ensuring every identity is authentic, every application sign-in is secure, and every device is trusted. The Learning Design and Enablement Manager will join the Enterprise Learning & Development team within the People organization. Reporting to the Manager of Enterprise Learning & Development, you will design and deliver applied learning experiences that strengthen leadership, professional, and AI capabilities across the organization. This is a remote role available to candidates in the United States and Canada. You will translate business capability needs into practical, scenario-based learning solutions grounded in real workflows and focused on lasting behavior change. Key responsibilities include: • Design and develop applied learning solutions based on identified capability needs, using real business scenarios and workflows that drive measurable behavior change. • Partner with functional enablement leads, subject matter experts, and cross-functional stakeholders to integrate learning into existing programs and team practices. • Lead the design and development of leadership capability programs for front-line, mid-level, and senior leaders, facilitating selected sessions as needed. • Create learning experiences that help people use AI thoughtfully and effectively, emphasizing judgment, critical thinking, responsible application, and outcome evaluation. • Develop reusable frameworks, practices, measurement approaches, and resources that strengthen learning delivery and effectiveness across the organization. • Build evaluation into each solution, use learner and stakeholder feedback to improve programs, and maintain learning materials to keep them current and relevant. • Identify patterns across stakeholder needs and create scalable frameworks and content that can be deployed across multiple teams. 1Password operates as a remote-first company founded in 2005 with deep expertise in distributed work culture. The company emphasizes collaboration, transparent communication, and a culture that challenges the status quo. Travel for in-person engagement (annual offsites, team meetings, customer/industry events) is expected as part of the role. The company is intentionally embedding AI into daily operations and cross-functional collaboration, and team members are expected to actively learn AI best practices and identify meaningful applications. Benefits include competitive health coverage, dental, retirement matching (401k/RRSP), generous PTO, RSU equity grants, free 1Password account, paid volunteer days, and parental leave top-up programs. REQUIREMENTS: • 7+ years of experience in instructional design, learning design, or related L&D role, with demonstrated ability to translate capability needs into practical learning solutions. • Experience designing scenario-based learning grounded in real business workflows and focused on behavior change rather than one-time knowledge transfer. • Ability to identify patterns across stakeholder needs and create reusable frameworks, content, and learning experiences that scale across teams. • Experience embedding measurement and evaluation into learning solutions, with ability to connect learning outcomes to business impact. • Working knowledge of instructional design methods such as ADDIE, Design Thinking, backward design, or comparable approaches. • Strong project management, facilitation, communication, and independent decision-making skills; ability to turn ambiguous needs into clear solutions and manage multiple priorities. • Experience building workplace AI capability, designing leadership programs across multiple leadership levels, or using emerging learning technologies and AI-enabled tools (preferred/nice-to-have).
