Rocket Lab is seeking a Lead Vehicle Integration Engineer to oversee the assembly and integration of the Neutron medium-lift launch vehicle at the integration facility and launch pad at Wallops Island. This role leads a team of vehicle integration engineers and collaborates with technicians to plan, execute, and document integration activities while performing integrated systems testing.
Key responsibilities include developing comprehensive plans for assembling and integrating vehicle components and systems—including fluid systems, avionics, structures, mechanisms, thermal protection, and flight termination systems. You will oversee and maintain weekly scheduling of work cell activities while ensuring alignment with high-level programmatic milestones. The role requires coordinating with supporting teams such as Ground Systems Engineering (GSE) and General Support Technicians (GST) to ensure tooling, fixturing, lift equipment, and work platforms are ready for integration and test activities.
You will manage resources across different vehicle modules to align with program milestones and coordinate with other leads in Development, Manufacturing Engineering, and Ground Systems Engineering to optimize resource allocation across the program. This position is central to delivering integrated vehicle modules on schedule and maintaining the quality and reliability standards required for human spaceflight and high-assurance payloads.

The company has a proven track record with the Electron launch vehicle and Space Systems programs, and is now developing Neutron as a reusable, cost-effective launch platform for mega constellations, high-assurance missions, and human spaceflight.
